Arflex Furniture Showroom

This school project was designed to showcase the wide range of products that the Italian furniture company, Arflex, has to offer.  This showroom stays true to the company’s perfect blend of contemporary furniture with a mid century twist.  With its spacious and simplistic layout, this design truly showcases the products.

Designed for the Javits Center, this conceptual design of a trade show space began with the basic idea of simplicity.  Based on Blu Dot’s products and existing retail spaces, less is more in terms of product design.  This simplistic structure is meant to withhold their design values as well as stay true to the minimalistic furniture. The trade show exhibit is only supported by three beams that seem to envelop the interior while keeping the overall flow of the space open.  The ten wooden stems in the center give a slight disruption of the sight-line, just enough to give viewers a sneak peek before they officially enter.
